Colombia Mina Rica
Direct trade Colombian coffee from female coffee producer Carolina Posada with hints of cocoa and nuts along with a pleasant citrus acidity.
Colombia Mina Rica comes to us from the Mina Rica farm in Antioquia, Colombia, owned by Carolina Posada, a third-generation coffee producer dedicated to supporting emerging female voices in the coffee industry. This specialty coffee showcases the exceptional quality that comes from direct trade relationships and passionate farming practices passed down through three generations of the Posada family.
Carolina's grandfather Mario founded the farm, working hard to build a successful coffee business until his tragic death in 1960. His wife Margarita, left pregnant with seven children, persevered through difficult times, eventually moving to the city for better opportunities. Carolina's father later returned to continue the coffee tradition, and now Carolina carries the torch forward, delivering this exceptional coffee directly to our roastery—that's true direct trade coffee at its finest.
We taste bright notes of citrus, rich cocoa, and pleasant nuttiness in every cup of this washed process coffee. Grown at 1,750 meters above sea level, the Caturra and Castillo varieties thrive in Antioquia's ideal coffee-growing conditions, producing clean, balanced coffee with vibrant acidity and natural sweetness. This medium roasted coffee works beautifully with any brewing method.
Perfect for anyone seeking a bright, approachable Colombian coffee with an inspiring story behind it. Every purchase supports Carolina's mission to empower women in coffee and encourage young farmers to continue the tradition of producing exceptional quality coffee.
