“The roast date was within a week from the date I bought it. It made for a great fruity, sweet cup when brewed with my V60. I'd definitely purchase these beans again.”
“Of all the amazing coffee Square One has, this one is my absolute favorite! Always perfectly roasted and the minute the bag is opened, the aroma and color of the beans remind me why.”
“Excellent flavor, rich and layered. A perfect start to my day!”

A 12 oz bag is $24. It was $24 when everyone else went to $26, then $28. We held it by staying small, family-run and independent. You get award-winning single origin for about a dollar a cup, and nobody bought a jet.

The farm has a name. So does the farmer.
Mina Rica is grown by Carolina Posada in Andes, Antioquia. We have bought from the same farms since 2007 and we show up. The bag names the farm, the farmer and the process, and the price they were paid is not a secret.

The receipts are public.
Five Good Food Awards, and nine coffees recognized at the 2026 Global Coffee Awards (a Gold, a Silver, three Bronze, four Honorable Mentions, two Finalists), judged blind, by people who do this for a living. We do not say 'specialty' and hope. A licensed Q Grader scores every lot before it is roasted.

“We believe everything that goes into a cup of coffee matters: how it's grown, how it's traded, how it's roasted, and how much heart people put into their work.”
Enjoy it, or we make it right.
Start with a bag. If it is not right for you, tell us. We will swap it for a coffee you will love or make it right another way. No forms, no fine print.
Fair questions.
Why is $24 the right price for a bag?
It pays the farmer properly, covers roasting to order, and leaves us a living. Anything higher is margin for someone who is not you or the farmer.
Direct trade: what does that actually mean here?
We buy from the same farms, year after year, at prices agreed with the farmer, and we visit. The farm and farmer are on the bag.
Is it roasted to order?
Yes. We roast and ship within 48 business hours of your order. The roast date is printed on the bag.
Can I subscribe to single origins?
Yes. Single origins rotate with the harvest; subscribers get first dibs at 10% off and a free gift every 3rd delivery.
