Kenya Kichwa Tembo AA
A classic washed Kenya AA bursting with nectarine, hibiscus, and tropical fruit.
Kichwa Tembo means "elephant head" in Swahili. It's a fitting name for a coffee known for its bold, unmistakable character. This lot brings together coffees grown by smallholder farmers across Kenya's renowned coffee-growing regions, where rich volcanic soils, cool mountain temperatures, and high elevations produce some of the world's most celebrated coffees.
The AA designation refers to the bean's larger screen size, a grading standard unique to Kenya. While bean size doesn't guarantee quality, Kenya's AA coffees have become famous for their remarkable clarity, lively acidity, and expressive fruit character.
In the cup, expect juicy nectarine, hibiscus florals, lemongrass and lingering sweetness. Bright, complex, and refreshingly clean, it's everything we love about classic Kenyan coffee.
