Help one family in Andes rebuild after the earthquake.
Colombia Mina Rica comes from Carolina Posada’s farm in Andes. The August 10 earthquake severely damaged the home of a family in that community, leaving them in temporary shelter.
Square One is beginning this effort with $250 and will contribute $5 from every bag of Mina Rica sold through September 30. Together, we hope to send $2,500 toward repairing or rebuilding their home.

For years, we have sourced Colombia Mina Rica from Carolina Posada. Grown in the mountains surrounding the town of Andes, it has become a familiar part of the Square One lineup: cocoa and nuts with a clean citrus lift.
After the earthquake, Carolina and Juan told us about a local family whose home was severely damaged. They are now staying in a shelter while the damage is assessed and a plan is made for their home.
The Lions Club of Andes, which has served the municipality for more than 30 years, is coordinating local support for the family. At the end of the campaign, Square One will send the full amount raised to Carolina and Juan at Landing Trade, who will transfer it to the Lions Club for the family’s repair and rebuilding expenses.
We are starting with $250. Every bag of Mina Rica purchased during the campaign adds another $5 from Square One. Together, our coffee community can turn a familiar bag into practical help for the community where it was grown.

Who handles the fundsSquare One sends the campaign total to Carolina and Juan at Landing Trade. They transfer it to the Lions Club of Andes, which is coordinating support for the family.
How it will be usedThe funds will help cover the family’s home repair or reconstruction expenses, based on the assessment and plan coordinated locally.
