Flash Brewed Iced Coffee
Bright, refreshing coffee in just minutes.
If cold brew is smooth and mellow, flash brew is lively and vibrant. By brewing hot coffee directly into a concentrated form and then cooling it with cold water, you preserve more of the coffee's natural character while creating a refreshing iced drink.
It's one of our favorite ways to enjoy seasonal coffees and single origins during the warmer months.

SQ1 Flash Brew Recipe
Basic Recipe
-
Weigh out your coffee.
- Use either twice as much as you'd normally use or the same amount of coffee you always use, but half as much water.
-
Grind coffee for your brewing method.
- You can use an auto-drip brewer, French press, pour-over, or other brewing methods.
- Brew using your normal amount of water (if you have twice the amount of coffee) or use half the amount of water (if you're using your normal amount of coffee).
- Once it's finished brewing, dilute your hot coffee concentrate with cold water.
Our Preferred Ratio
60% coffee concentrate
40% cold water
This ratio allows for natural dilution when the coffee is poured over ice and leaves room for cream if desired.
Why We Love Flash Brew
Flash brew highlights the bright, lively flavors that make specialty coffee so exciting. Fruity notes, floral aromatics, and crisp acidity all shine through beautifully when served over ice.
