The full story

Low & Slow

Medium-dark roast from Central America with walnut, dark chocolate, and apple notes. Perfect for cold brew but also makes a tasty hot cup with a lower acidity.

Low & Slow is our signature cold brew coffee blend crafted using coffee from Central America. This summer classic delivers a creamy, balanced cold brew when fully immersed in cold water overnight, making it the ideal choice for cold brew enthusiasts and home coffee brewers looking for that coffee shop quality at home.

The washed processing method and darker roast profile make Low & Slow perfect for cold brew extraction, producing a naturally sweet, low-acid coffee concentrate that's smooth and balanced. While this blend is optimized for cold brew, it also works beautifully as hot coffee, making it a versatile option for year-round enjoyment. Brew it as a classic cold brew concentrate for iced coffee drinks, or use it hot for a rich, full-bodied cup.

Fair questions.

Is it actually better, or just marketed better?
Judged, not self-declared. Square One has won five Good Food Awards, and every coffee is approved by a licensed Q Grader. If Low & Slow isn't the smoothest cup you've had all year, tell us and we make it right.
I don't have fancy gear. Will it still be good?
Yes. Low & Slow is built to be forgiving. A basic drip machine and the "Medium" grind option will get you a genuinely great cup. No scale, no gooseneck kettle, no homework.
Is the subscription a trap?
No. Skip, swap or cancel anytime, no fees, and we send a reminder email before every charge so nothing sneaks up on you. It's 10% off (up to 24% when you build a box) and free shipping for letting us plan our roasting, that's the whole deal.
When does it ship?
We roast five days a week and your bag is roasted to order, then shipped right after with the roast date printed on it. Subscribers always ship free. One-time orders ship free over $55.
