About [Wholesale] Bolivia La Paz

This delicate, organic coffee from the mountains of Bolivia represents the hard work of 42 farmers from a co-op called Cooperativa Agropecuaria Alto Sajama.

Located in a mountainous region with rich biodiversity, these producers have 630 hectares of farmland and around 600,000 coffee trees. Their farms often also produce plantains and different citrus fruits, but coffee is one of the main sources of income for families in this area and plays a fundamental role in their livelihood and well-being.

The co-op works to continuously improve coffee quality and better the lives of its members, while also caring for the environment. Coffee is picked ripe by hand and washed with clean water. The wastewater is sustainably managed, while the coffee is dried on raised beds in the sun.

Sajama producers have been producing coffee for generations. Many hope to expand their farms, grow different varieties, and continue caring for the environment in order to improve quality each year and ensure the longevity of their work. The co-op values their history in coffee production and strives to keep those traditions and techniques alive while innovating and adapting to the future of the coffee industry.

In the cup, this coffee starts out subtle and delicate, offering hints of chamomile and magnolia blossom. As it cools, the honey-like sweetness increases, reminiscent of honeysuckle, and the pleasant acidity of dried cherry and white grape emerges. However you brew it, this coffee is clean, sweet, and undeniably delicious.
