About [Wholesale] Frooty Call (Decaf) (Retail)

Frooty Call comes from El Vergel Estate in Tolima, Colombia, where producers Elías and Shady Bayter grow Red and Yellow Caturra varieties.

After harvest, ripe cherries undergo a 48–60 hour anaerobic fermentation before being dried slowly through a combination of raised beds and low-temperature mechanical dryers. The coffee is then stabilized for 45 days in GrainPro bags, helping the fruit-forward flavors settle and develop.

The coffee is decaffeinated in Colombia using the sugarcane EA process. The beans are gently moistened, then circulated with naturally derived ethyl acetate, which bonds with the caffeine and removes it while preserving much of the coffee’s original character. A final steaming removes any remaining EA.

In the cup, we taste citrus, grape, and honeydew melon supported by a sweet milk chocolate base.

This is our first natural-process decaf—and proof that decaf can be every bit as expressive as the rest of the coffee shelf.

Perfect for evening coffee lovers, caffeine-sensitive individuals, or anyone seeking high-quality decaf that tastes delicious. Nightcap supports Carolina Posada's mission to empower women in coffee while delivering exceptional decaffeinated coffee that rivals fully-caffeinated offerings in complexity and flavor.
